Best iPhone apps for kids

Not since the sippy cup, has there been a tool that I would say is the post-modern parenting God-send that is the iPhone. I can’t tell you how many public meltdowns have been averted by a little Thomas the Tank Engine or Loony Tunes loaded onto the beloved iPhone.

Babble has compiled a list of the top 25 kid-friendly apps for the iPhone. For less than $2.99 you can actually drive in silence in the car or read the menu in a restaurant while they can learn to read, do math or just play a fun game. Although the downside is the inevitable sticky film of kid schmutz that coats and cootifies the screen, but peace and quiet always comes at a price.
